I started listening to this audible on a trip to Japan.
It's intense. I'm not the type to cry, but this got me.
Finished it on my flight back.
This is definitely the best audible I've ever heard and the first that made me want more of the story.
I recommend the audio version. You feel like you are there.
But I cried in the first chapter and had to stop listening.
Then I realized I better listen because I needed to learn what
she has to say. It's wrenching for me because I relate to it too much.

So heart rending and wonderfully real! I love her openness! And I learned a lot that will help me with 90 yr old mom! This read has been very enlightening for me. I'm trying to learn how to be a survivor and stay calm more of the time. Think that's why I get so exhausted. I'm always on guard for someone saying I'm doing something wrong or for something bad to happen. All with an outward smile!! Really helped me. Far less anxious after this book. But what really impacted me was the loyalty factor in all of her travails. Seems that's what's missing for so many of us.
I am amazed and in awe of this writer's ability to stay on her feet moving forward. I now know why she had to write this story. I am gripped. Hooked."
Wow! This is an amazing story which will touch your heart. I have such admiration for the author who....well, I don't want to give away anything. I'll just say I could not put the book down and want to read the sequel.
This book was incredibly insightful and I give the author so much credit for being able to write about her journey through life with her family, partners and friends.
Story about family love at its deepest with may twists and turns. I found myself coming back to it over and over to listen to the narrator. Lots of emotion in here!
